ChoiceWyze
Choose to succeed
1. Introduction
ChoiceWyze is committed to providing clear product information, dependable service, and fair treatment of customers.
This Refund and Return Policy explains when refunds, cancellations, rescheduling, and related remedies may be available for products and services purchased directly from ChoiceWyze.
It applies to:
-
Online courses.
-
Downloadable digital products.
-
Business tools, templates, and assessments.
-
Coaching programmes and coaching sessions.
-
Consulting, diagnostic, and advisory services.
-
Other products and services sold through www.choicewyze.co.za.
This policy must be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any right that a customer has under applicable South African law.
2. General refund principles
Refund eligibility depends on:
-
The type of product or service purchased.
-
Whether the product has been accessed, downloaded, or used.
-
Whether service delivery has started.
-
The reason for the refund request.
-
The timing of the cancellation.
-
Applicable statutory consumer rights.
-
Any specific terms communicated before purchase.
ChoiceWyze considers refund requests fairly and reasonably based on the relevant circumstances.
3. Statutory cooling-off rights
Where applicable under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, a consumer entering into an electronic transaction may have a right to cancel:
-
A transaction for goods within seven days after receiving the goods.
-
A transaction for services within seven days after the agreement is concluded.
This statutory right is subject to the exclusions and conditions contained in the legislation.
For example, the statutory cooling-off right does not apply to a service that has already begun with the consumer’s consent before the seven-day period expires.
Where a statutory cooling-off right applies and is validly exercised, ChoiceWyze will process the refund within the period required by law.
Nothing in this policy should be interpreted as excluding a statutory cancellation right where the law provides one.
4. Online courses
4.1 Courses not yet accessed
If you purchase an online course and have not accessed the course content, you may request cancellation and a refund within seven calendar days of purchase.
To qualify:
-
The request must be submitted within the seven-day period.
-
The course must not have been accessed, started.
-
No associated paid digital resources must have been downloaded.
-
Proof of purchase must be provided.
4.2 Courses accessed or started
If you request immediate course access or begin using course content, the availability of a refund will depend on:
-
Whether the relevant transaction is legally classified as the supply of goods, services, or both.
-
Whether an applicable statutory cooling-off exception applies.
-
Whether immediate delivery or commencement was expressly requested or consented to.
-
The extent of course access or use.
-
Whether the course was materially misrepresented, defective, inaccessible, or not delivered as promised.
-
Any additional course-specific guarantee advertised before purchase.
Course access alone will not be used to deny a refund where applicable law gives you a right to one.
4.3 Course access problems
If you cannot access a purchased course because of a technical issue attributable to ChoiceWyze or its delivery platform, please contact us promptly.
We will take reasonable steps to:
-
Restore access.
-
Provide an alternative access method.
-
Correct the problem.
-
Offer an appropriate refund or other remedy where the issue cannot reasonably be resolved.
4.4 Course-specific guarantees
Where a particular course is sold with an additional satisfaction guarantee or product-specific refund period, the terms advertised for that course will also apply.
Any such guarantee supplements, and does not replace, applicable statutory rights.
5. Downloadable digital products
Downloadable products may include:
-
Templates and worksheets.
-
Business planning resources.
-
Digital guides.
-
Financial models and calculators.
-
Assessments, scorecards, and diagnostic tools.
-
Other electronically delivered files.
5.1 Products not downloaded
If a purchased digital product has not been downloaded, accessed, or delivered, you may request cancellation and a refund within seven calendar days of purchase, subject to applicable law.
5.2 Products already downloaded or accessed
Once a digital product has been downloaded, accessed, or otherwise delivered, refunds are not automatically available for a change of mind.
However, a refund, replacement, repair, or alternative remedy may be available where:
-
The product is materially different from its description.
-
The incorrect product was supplied.
-
The file is corrupted or materially defective.
-
The product cannot reasonably be accessed or used for its advertised purpose because of a problem attributable to ChoiceWyze.
-
Delivery did not occur as promised.
-
Applicable law otherwise requires a remedy.
ChoiceWyze may first attempt to correct the issue or provide a replacement where appropriate and lawful.
6. Coaching programmes and coaching sessions
6.1 Cancellation before coaching begins
If you cancel a coaching programme before coaching delivery has started, any applicable refund will be determined with reference to:
-
Statutory cooling-off rights, where applicable.
-
The notice provided.
-
Any onboarding or preparation work already completed.
-
Non-recoverable costs reasonably incurred.
-
The terms of the relevant coaching agreement.
-
Applicable legal requirements concerning reasonable cancellation charges.
Any cancellation charge must be reasonable in the circumstances and must not unlawfully override a statutory right to a full refund.
6.2 Cancellation after coaching begins
If a coaching programme is cancelled after delivery has started:
-
Sessions already delivered are generally not refundable.
-
Completed onboarding, preparation, assessment, or other agreed work may be taken into account.
-
The unused portion of the programme may qualify for a full or partial refund, subject to the relevant agreement and applicable law.
-
Any cancellation charge will be assessed according to the circumstances and applicable legal requirements.
ChoiceWyze will provide a reasonable explanation of any amount deducted from a refund.
6.3 Rescheduling individual sessions
A coaching session may generally be rescheduled if at least 48 hours’ notice is provided.
If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, or if a customer does not attend a scheduled session, ChoiceWyze may charge a reasonable rescheduling or cancellation fee, where lawful and appropriate.
Relevant circumstances, including emergencies and other factors that must be considered under applicable law, will be taken into account.
6.4 Sessions cancelled by ChoiceWyze
If ChoiceWyze cancels a scheduled session, we will offer:
-
A reasonable alternative appointment; or
-
A refund or credit for the affected session where rescheduling is not reasonably possible.
7. Consulting, diagnostic, and advisory services
7.1 Cancellation before work starts
A customer may request cancellation before consulting or diagnostic work begins.
Refund eligibility will depend on:
-
The terms of the accepted proposal or service agreement.
-
Whether a statutory cooling-off right applies.
-
Work already completed in preparation for the engagement.
-
Reasonable costs already incurred.
-
Any lawful and reasonable cancellation charge.
7.2 Cancellation after work starts
If a consulting or diagnostic engagement is cancelled after work has started:
-
Work already completed may be charged for or deducted from the refund.
-
Completed analyses, meetings, preparation, reviews, or deliverables may be taken into account.
-
The unused or undelivered portion of the engagement may qualify for a partial refund.
-
The calculation will reflect the scope of work completed, the agreement terms, and applicable legal requirements.
7.3 Inability to deliver
If ChoiceWyze cannot provide an agreed consulting or diagnostic service for reasons attributable to ChoiceWyze, we will, where appropriate:
-
Offer a revised delivery date.
-
Offer an alternative service of equivalent value, if acceptable to the customer.
-
Provide a refund for services not delivered.
Any refund required by law will be processed within the applicable statutory period.
8. Incorrect, defective, or undelivered products
Please contact ChoiceWyze promptly if:
-
You receive the wrong digital product.
-
A digital file is defective or cannot be opened.
-
A purchased course is materially inaccessible.
-
A product or service differs materially from its advertised description.
-
A paid product or service is not delivered within the agreed period.
Depending on the circumstances, we may provide:
-
A corrected or replacement product.
-
Restored access.
-
Technical assistance.
-
Redelivery of the product.
-
A partial or full refund.
-
Another remedy required or permitted by law.
9. Purchases made through third-party platforms
If you purchase a ChoiceWyze product or course through a third-party marketplace or platform, the relevant platform’s purchase, refund, and cancellation rules may apply.
Refund requests for purchases made through another platform should generally be submitted through that platform unless you are advised otherwise.
This policy applies primarily to purchases made directly through www.choicewyze.co.za or directly from ChoiceWyze.
10. How to request a refund
To request a refund, cancellation, or other remedy, please email:
info@choicewyze.co.za
Please include:
-
Your full name.
-
Your order number, invoice number, or proof of payment.
-
The name of the product or service purchased.
-
The purchase date.
-
The reason for the request.
-
Any relevant supporting information or screenshots.
We may request additional information reasonably necessary to investigate and process your request.
11. Assessment of refund requests
ChoiceWyze aims to acknowledge refund requests within two business days and assess them within five business days, where reasonably possible.
More complex requests may take longer where additional information, payment verification, or an assessment of completed work is required.
We will notify you of the outcome and, where applicable, explain the refund amount or the reason a request was declined.
12. Refund payment method and timing
Approved refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method where possible.
Where a refund to the original payment method is not practicable, we may request verified banking details or agree on another appropriate refund method.
ChoiceWyze aims to initiate approved refunds within 10 business days after approval, unless a shorter or different period is required by law.
Depending on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, additional processing time may be required before the refunded amount reflects in your account.
Where legislation requires a refund within a specified period, ChoiceWyze will comply with that requirement.
13. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you are dissatisfied with a purchase, please contact ChoiceWyze before initiating a bank or card payment dispute so that we can attempt to resolve the issue.
This request does not prevent you from exercising any right available through your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or applicable law.
14. Policy changes
ChoiceWyze may update this Refund and Return Policy periodically.
The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights applicable to transactions concluded before the change.
